NEWS HEADLINES

An Andy Turner 6 helps Red Lion to the Division One title

The title ultimately came down to the first leg result between Milton and Chippy, in which Chippy won by just 1 doll.

Chippy set 15, mainly thanks to an Andy Turner 6; Milton needed 5 to win from the last two, but could only manage 3. Milton took the 2nd leg, but Red Lion won the 3rd. Andrew Prew 9, Nathan Wallington 7 (Milton); Andy Turner 10 (including a 6) and Mick Richardson 8 (Chippy). Rhys Warner-Carter hits his first ever 6, but sadly was in practice so doesn’t count.

Stow A and The Lion A draw 3-3, in a match which either team would have needed to win 6-0 (pts) due to dolls to win the title.

Lee Abbott once again takes the Top Doll award having hit 11 for Stow. Dom Bennett hits 10 for Tredington.

Coach and Horses take maximum points at home to Stow B. Nigel Hunt 9, Graham Barrett 8, Sally Barrett and K Stathers with 7 for Coach.

Ilmington A beat Chadlington 3-0 on legs. Richard Rouse with 11 for Ilmington, and Sam Keene with 7 for Chad.

Halford beat 4-man Ilmington B, 3-0 to win the Division Two title.

M Pinto with 6 for Halford, and Alistair Swift with 6 for Ilmington.

Coach B win 2-1 away at Black Horse A. Luke Canning with 7 and Bub Robinson with 6 for Coach.

Wychwood win 2-1 at home to Compton. Paul Allen 9, Otto Hergt and Ed Simpson 7 for Wychwood; Dave Simms with 11, Tony Clifton and John Beauchamp Jnr with 6 for Compton.
